Guest Appearances

The Mental Health Today Show has been on air since 2015, with more than 200 episodes published. Each episode is a focused, practical conversation with one guest, hosted by John Cordray, LPC, NCC, a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly two decades of clinical experience.

Who hears it
The show's audience is clinicians first: therapists, counselors, and other mental health professionals, along with listeners who follow mental health closely. Episodes are also promoted to John's LinkedIn audience of more than 16,000 followers, most of them therapists and other mental health professionals. For a guest with a book, a course, a practice, or a point of view to share, that puts the conversation in front of the exact professionals they want to reach.

Topics that fit
Strong fits include trauma and recovery, anxiety, grief, relationships, practice building, therapist wellbeing, and lived experience that teaches something. Every topic is screened for fit with a mental health audience. If a topic is not right for the show, we will say so quickly and kindly.

The guest package: $250
The guest appearance fee is $250 and covers the full package:

1. A recorded episode on The Mental Health Today Show, recorded remotely at a scheduled time that works for the guest.
2. The published episode with show notes, published and shareable.
3. A shareable clip pulled from the episode, ready for the guest to use in their own promotion.
4. Promotion of the episode on LinkedIn to an audience of more than 16,000 followers, mostly therapists and other mental health professionals.

There are no other charges. The fee is paid once, before scheduling.

How booking works
Step 1. Complete the guest intake form.
Step 2. Once the intake is reviewed and the topic fits, the guest receives the payment link for the $250 appearance fee.
Step 3. As soon as payment is received, the guest gets the scheduling link and picks a recording time. Nobody is scheduled before payment, so the calendar stays clean for everyone.

Booking partners: agencies and publicists who send guests regularly can ask about partner rates for steady volume.

Fit always stays with the host.
