Depression Sucks, You Can't Just Snap Out of It

Depression affects millions of people all over the world, yet so many live in isolation and shame because of it. Even worse, people in their lives tell them to just snap out of it.

Depression does not work like that. You can't simply wish it away or turn off a switch. Depression is a miserable leech that won't go away easily.

To tell someone to just "snap out of it" makes the depression worse and only makes the person with depression feel like even more of a loser.

This episode is for those who suffer from depression as well as those who don't understand what depression does to someone.

John talks about the number 1 key that we all need to do to make it better for every one.

We all must be in agreement with this if we want to break the stigma of mental illness.

Depression does not make you weak, weird or stupid, but people can.
